Review │Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

So when i recently went on a little shopping spree i picked up this, which is the "Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge" by the famous beauty youtubers "Sam & Nic Chapman" also known as Pixiwoo. Ive actually had this before but for some reason never reviewed it. So as i needed a new one i thought i would take the opportunity to let you guys know my thoughts on it.

This is how its described: It's a 3-in-1 multi-functional makeup sponge by Real Techniques. The rounded side blends larger areas of the face. The precision tip covers blemishes/imperfections and the flat edge contours around the eyes and the nose, leaving you with a complexion that's smooth, enhanced and gorgeous!

Optimize your beauty routine with this 3-in-1 multi-functional sponge from Real Techniques!
  • Rounded sides blend large areas of the face with a repeated dabbing or stippling motion.
  • Precision tip covers blemishes and imperfections.
  • Flat edge for the contours around the eyes and nose.
  • Its versatile design evenly blends makeup for a smooth, enhanced finish, leaving you looking gorgeous.

I think this is an amazing way to apply your foundation or concealer, I've tried so many of these type of sponges for example the beauty blender, the cosmopolitan one and all the various ones eBay sell but out of them all i think this definitely has to be my favourite. It applies your foundation and concealer so smoothly and evenly and makes putting on your foundation so quick and easy. The sponge is designed to be used, damp or dry but i personally prefer to use it damp as i think it gives a nicer coverage.

The only thing i will say is that you tend to use a lot more foundation than you would if you used your fingers or a brush to apply your foundation because this sponge does tend to kind of soak up the foundation which ends up making you need maybe two pumps of foundation instead of one, but if you can get over that then i highly recommend you picking this up. I know alot of people have a love/hate relationship with this but i personally love it. There is one thing that does kind of annoy me a little which is the fact that the sponge is so hard to get clean, no matter how many times i clean it, i can never get it completly clean so if anyone has any recomendations or solutions for that then that would be great.

The miracle complexion sponge retails for £5.99 although on amazon i believe you can get it for £4.99. So for the price i think it's great. If you prefer brushes to apply your foundation or concealer then im not sure how you will feel about this, i actually prefer this to using brushes (even the real techniques ones) as i think so many brushes can just leave your face looking streaky.

You can buy the real techniques sponge from many places such as;

Have you tried the real techniques sponge? What are your thoughts on it? Also like i said if you know how i can get it clean then let me know.
